About The NLFA

Our aim

Never before has there been an organization dedicated to help players of non-league football. We hope the NLFA will be able to support players on their journey throughout there career. We want to help Non-league footballers understand that no matter what level they play, the NLFA will be there to assist with their everyday needs. We want the players and fans to become one and use the NLFA as its meeting place, we believe the 'Players Directory' will be the new place to talk football. Our partners have been selected to offer NLFA members help and advice, and a service that will benefit all. We want to be a strong backbone for the non-league community. We are now pleased to announce that the NLFA Education partners at Prospect training are providing members of the NLFA with many low cost education courses, ranging from Languages through football, healthy lifestyle and helping you build your own CV. We hope NLFA members will benefit from these courses.

What we do

Footballers in non league now have the comfort of the NLFA being there for them if they need advice. Being part of an Association is overdue for the players of Non-league football. We are actively working to find partners to provide the best service and products that will benefit them through everyday life. We have a wide range of partners to help players with Medical and Income protection, accident insurance, Education courses to help players further their careers in coaching or learn a new career with Languages. We also have accountants to help players claim back up to 4 years travel expenses back. A strong legal team to help with any contract disputes or any other problems. The NLFA are always looking for strong partners to help it's members.

Dean Holdsworth and Gordon Taylor

Dean Holdsworth (founder of the NLFA)

Former Chairman of the PFA, Dean Holdsworth. Dean's illustrious professional career started when he signed as a professional for Watford before moving to Brentford. He then spent three seasons at Brentford, scoring 76 goals and earning a move to the Premier League with Wimbledon. As a member of the Crazy Gang he scored another 76 goals and earning a England B cap and a goal for his country, before moving north to Bolton Wanderers for £3.5 million, where he helped Sam Allardyce establish the club in the top flight, scoring another 49 league and cup goals in his 5 years at the club. Over 800 games and 275 goals. Dean has just finished his first part A'liscence coaching badge and is also currently manager of Newport County
